I am delighted to join Gnanam School of Business this year – albeit in very challenging times. GSB has an enviable track record of delivering quality management education for more than a decade. Its deep commitment to develop and transform its students into managers with a positive thinking attitude and equip them with the highest level of professional skills leading to excellence in execution at work is evident in all its campus activities for student development.
Covid-19 has transformed our lives and challenged the way we deliver education. It was heartening and exciting to witness our faculty team respond positively to the challenge, to experiment with new ways of engaging with students and their willingness to adopt new digital technologies to generate a positive impact.
I empathize with you students as you are currently undergoing the hardship of keeping up with your studies through the online mode only. Although online education is in no way a substitute for face-to-face interaction in classrooms, this unprecedented global pandemic has left us with no option but to adapt to the delivery of knowledge through digital channels to ensure learning continuity. I appreciate your efforts to keep focused on online learning and thank you for your support and cooperation in engaging actively with our faculty team. You must also be missing your classes and hostels against the backdrop beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens that gave you the perfect setting for a great learning experience. Let us all look forward to having you on campus soon.
I consider it my privilege to lead the academic team at Gnanam Business School and stand firmly committed to the cherished values of this institution to produce competent managers who are ethical and principle-centered and conscious of their obligations to serve society. In this current uncertain environment, I shall tread cautiously but with strong steps to add more value to the student-centric learning experience and lead this institution on the growth path.
